Medium Shelving Rack: Features and Uses
Medium shelf-type rack is a common rack type in manual-picking warehouses, with good load capacity. The number of levels and dimensions can be customized to the warehouse layout and material characteristics. Because access is manual, rack height and per-level load have certain limits, and selection should consider goods characteristics as a whole.
Typical specification range. Each level of a unit rack generally carries 200 to 800 kg, and a full rack group usually carries no more than 5,000 kg. A unit rack span is generally no more than 2.6 m, depth no more than 1 m, and height mostly within 3 m.
Beam-less and beam-type versions. When the unit rack span is within 2 m and the level load within 500 kg, a beam-less medium shelf-type rack works; above a 2 m span, a beam-type version is recommended. The beam-less version offers more adjustment room for level spacing, a cleaner look and better coordination with the environment, suiting warehouses with higher cleanliness requirements. The beam-type version has a stronger industrial feel and is better for heavier goods such as metal structural parts.
Application fields. Medium shelf-type racks are widely used in manual-picking storerooms, parts warehouses and finished-goods buffering areas across industries. Number of levels, level height and span can be customized to site dimensions and goods weight.
