Custom Rack Process: Survey, Design, Install

Custom racking usually goes through requirement discussion, site survey, scheme design, manufacturing and installation acceptance. Doing every step solidly lets the rack fit the site and goods and make reasonable use of warehouse space.

Brief and survey. Begin by describing cargo types, sizes, weight, access frequency and handling method; engineers then measure clear height, bay widths and floor conditions on site. This information decides rack type, number of levels and aisle layout.

Design and production. Drawings are produced from the survey, specifying upright, beam and shelf sizes and load; after confirmation, production begins - cutting, cold roll-forming, welding, then pickling-phosphating and electrostatic powder coating, with quality checks along the way.

Installation and acceptance. On arrival, racks are assembled per the installation drawing; after assembly, connectors and overall stability are checked.
