Warehouse Rack Safety and Protection
Safe racking use relies on proper operation and daily protection. From loading, stacking and guarding to inspection, every step affects rack stability and personnel safety.
Proper loading. Load to the rack design capacity; avoid overloading and off-center stacking. Stack goods evenly, put heavy items on lower levels, and prevent local overload that causes deformation.
Anti-collision and protection. Fit anti-collision column protectors along aisles and on uprights likely to be hit; keep forklift work steady to reduce impact on the racks.
Regular inspection. Periodically check upright verticality, beam levelness, loose clips and chipped coating, and deal with issues promptly. For safe rack use, see the rack load and safety guide and rack installation guide.
