Rack Selection and Use in Cold Storage
Cold storage and low-temperature environments impose special demands on racks: rust resistance, load capacity and handling method must all be considered together to suit long-term cold-chain use.
Material and rust protection. Low-temperature, high-humidity environments rust easily; choose racks with proper rust treatment and intact coating, and carry out regular inspection and maintenance to extend service life.
Structure selection. Cold-storage racks often use heavy-duty selective pallet racks for palletized, forklift-based work, or high-density drive-in racks, chosen by cold-room clear height and goods turnover.
Operation and management. Work with forklifts and standardized loading and unloading to avoid collisions; watch floor flatness and anti-slip. For cold-storage rack selection, refer to the rack selection guide and warehouse rack planning guide.
